"Gokstad" Sandefjord Things to Do Tip by stiab3

The Gokstad ship is a late 9th century Viking ship found in a ship burial beneath a burial mound at Gokstad farm in Sandar, Sandefjord, Vestfold, Norway. It was excavated in 1880.

The actual ship is now in the Viking Museum in Oslo but a replica, Gaia is in the port in Sandefjord.

At the actual Gokstad site, there is information boards about the ship and some history.
