"East Mebon" Angkor Wat Things to Do Tip by runwitme

Angkor Wat Things to Do: 834 reviews and 1,837 photos

I arrived at East Mebon almost lunch hour. When I see a bus load of tourists arriving at the site, I quickly decided to go for lunch at the stall right in front of East Mebon.

I ordered fried noodles (USD2, had to bargain from USD3) and young coconut drink (USD0.70). The food was good.

I was looking for toilet as my bladder was full (too much coconut drink). The stall owner showed me to the bushes behind the stall! Yikes! Luckily, I just had my lunch, if not I would not have the appetite to eat.

Anyway, after doing my small business, I proceeded to visit East Mebon. The bunch of tourists who arrived just now had just left, much to my delights.

East Mebon has many elephants statues and guarding lions as well. The overall appearance is very rough. I can't help the comparison as I started the excusion with a very fine and delicate Banteay Srei earlier.
