Great locals pub with a bit more flair than appears on the outside. The bar has a huge lid of a copper brewing kettle hanging over it and there are a lot of hanging plants as well. It's a great bustling place with big portions of local foods and a well priced and selected beer menu too.

Favorite Dish: A good sized portion of Gentse Stoorerij, a beef stew cooked with Rodenbach, brown ale, and scotch ale. This was served with frites and washed down with a Rodenbach Grand Cru which is a marvelously sour and refreshing Flemish Red Ale. Both are must tries when in Belgium.

Address: 17 Ter Plaeten.
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: This place is a bit south of the city center but worth the stroll and you'll see some areas you might not see otherwise.
