From Kota Kinabalu to the National Park, you can stop by to walk across a unique long native suspension bridge across the river, the tree top bridge and hot springs of Poring. The sight of Mount Kinabalu is spectacular as you see this highest mountain in Southeas Asia before your very eyes.

As your vehicle wind up the slopes, you will notice that a blanket of clouds will slowly engulf the peak of the mountain and move downhill. So best to start off in the early morning to see the peak from the distance.

At the National Park, you can stroll around in the cool atmosphere and see a botanical gardens. For those more adventurous, you have to book in advance, trained in advance for 2D/1N hike up and down Mount Kinabalu with a guide. It is easy steps but long series of steps and not for the unfit.

A beautiful place even if you are not climbing. It is a UNESCO heritage site.
