Cafe du Monde: "The World's Most Famous Coffee Shop" Cafe du Monde Tip by Tom_Fields
Cafe du Monde, New Orleans: 40 reviews and 68 photos
No visit to New Orleans is complete without stopping at the Cafe du Monde. This restaurant has been here since 1863, serving its trademark coffee and beignets (donuts). The coffee has chicory in it. OK, this is not exactly health food, but it's worth trying it once. It's one of the city's best-known landmarks. And it remains open ALL the time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Favorite Dish: The coffee and beignets, of course.
