  On the District line tube

The easiest way to get to Richmond is by tube or train. Richmond station is located at the end of one branch of the District Line (green line). If you are coming from central London, you may need to change trains at Turnham Green - just make sure you are on a Richmond train, not Ealing Broadway (they leave from the same platform).

If you are coming from Ealing Broadway direction, you will also need to change trains at Turnham Green, crossing over to the other platform for the Richmond Train.

You can also catch Southwest Trains to Richmond. There is a regular service which departs from Waterloo station. The 'express' trains (which stop only at Clapham Junction) make the journey as quick as 17 minutes from Waterloo to Richmond. The 'slow' trains take around 30 minutes.

Silverlink trains also have a service that terminates in Richmond. Silverlink trains start in East London, travel across the top of London and end up in Richmond. Again, there are different services, so you may have to change trains somewhere like Willesden Junction, making sure you are on a Richmond train.

There are also several bus lines that drive through Richmond. Some of the options are the 65, which travels to/from Ealing - Kingston, via Richmond. There is also the 391, which travels between Richmond and Fulham, driving past Kew Gardens station. From Hammersmith you can catch the 33 or 391.

There is not a huge amount of parking available in Richmond, so public transport is the best option if possible. If you drive, there is a parking station next to the train station, and a couple of others around town - follow the signs.
