"Natures wonders - 8 wheel ride" Dunedin Things to Do Tip by Josilver

Dunedin Things to Do: 179 reviews and 354 photos

Natures wonders is a privately owned wild life sanctury on the Dunedin Penisnsula. The experience begins with being given water proof jackets and being loaded into "Argos" which are like really large quad bikes (only with 8 wheels). You are then taken on a wild ride up and down the hills with spectacular views over the penisnsula. YOu end up at the edge of the sea next to a seal colony. Th seals laze around in the sun taking very little notice of the visitor. You can also watch them from the hide for the up close encounter. YOu are then taken down a conctruced wooden tunnel to sea the worlds rarest penguin - the yellow eyed penguin. Small doors are also created in the walls though which you can see the world smallest penquin - the blue penguin nesting. Tyhe tour ends with another wild ride back to reception ending with our driver doing donuts in the argo. Fantastic experience, would highly recomend it.
