The White Mountain National Forest has numerous hiking opportunities for all experience levels. Some will lead to waterfalls. Did you know that there are over 100 waterfalls in the White Mountains?

If you are not into hiking you can drive the White Mountain Trail. This trail is a loop of about one hundred miles that can be done in less than a day. You can start your trail at the visitors center. Go via Franconia Notch to Crawford Notch where you will pass the historic Mount Washington Hotel (site of the 1944 Bretton Woods Monetary Conference, which established the gold standard and the World Bank International Monetory Fund), and via Conway drive back over the Kancamagus Highway to the visitors center.
