Arc de Triomphe stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. It is one of the famous monuments that is identified with France, so it is worth a visit. Since Champs-Élysées is just a short walk from the Arc, if you're into shopping, then you can go head straight to Champs-Élysées from the Arc.

It was commissioned by Napoleon to signify their victories (triumphs) thus the name. It has so much character and detail that distinguishes it from other arches.
