"Walk by the Hotel de Ville" Hotel de Ville - City Hall Tip by hquittner
Hotel de Ville - City Hall, Paris: 61 reviews and 116 photos
We have walked by the Hotel de Ville many times but have never attempted to go in. It has a dreary history but has been magnificantly rebuilt in the last part of the 19C to reflect its importance as the city administrative center and national political launching-pad. Fittingly a statue to the first revolutionary leader Etienne Marcel is situated on the river edge before the South facade. We usually walk along the West side. The building is so large that you need a good wide-angle lens to capture it.
