Early on a Sunday we walked into the Jardin des Plantes from the r. Linne and wandered to the main gate at the Pl. Valhubert and the Quai St. Bernard. This is a pleasant not vigorusly mantained area in which to stroll. It was too early for any of the various exhibits to open and we walked past the menagerie as we paralleled the Parterre on the Allee Cuvier. Near the gate we saw small human animals and their attendants in a playground, apparently a typical Sunday Parisian activity. Also one busy crow.
