The 'Happy valley' at the foot of the Great Orme mountain sprouted a number of facilities in the 1980's to give the adrenneline junkies a bit of a fix.

There is a 300-meter artificial ski & snowboard slope, where the British championships are held every year. The 'Swiss chalet' makes the setting at least semi-authentic.

The 750-meter toboggan track look like a lot of fun. Common in europe, but unusual in the UK the metalled tube allows you to 'pilot' your own cart down the run. Those aged between 4 and 7 may travel with an adult and those aged 8 or over get their own cart. At less than a fiver for 2 runs, this looks like a bargain. It unfortunately was closed the last time I was there, but I will give you a full in-depth rundown of by bumps, scratches and broken bones when I get to have a go.
