the nights are cold!: "general tips on lodges" Nepal Hotel Tip by MrBill

Unique Qualities: Nights are cold outside and the lodges can be big, poorly insulated and the rooms unheated. We had nights down to +2 degrees Celsius in the bedrooms while we slept. Several blankets as well as long underwear, fleeces, vests, socks and perhaps a cap or bandana on your head may be needed to avoid being cold while you sleep. Also we used hotwater bottles or our thermoses filled with hot water to help heat the bedsheets before we crawled under the covers and to help keep us warm at night. If the water pipes in the bathroom freeze overnight then at least you have some warm water in the morning for shaving and cleaning up. The lodges were happy to fill-up our flasks after dinner with hot water. It really helps! Enjoy. Warm is cool!
