The Seven Mile Bridge is well seven miles or or 11.27 kilometers in length. The bridge is dedicated to Bernie C. Papy who was involved in the growth and development of the Florida Keys. There are two bridges in this location. The older bridge, originally known as the Knights Key-Pigeon Key-Moser Channel-Pacet Channel Bridge, was constructed from 1909-1912. This bridge was destroyed during a hurricane on Labour Day 1935.
