Jazz Standard: "Ribs & Jazz" Jazz Standard Tip by swgf

Jazz Standard, New York City: 1 reviews and 0 photos

This place serves the same menu as Blue Smoke which is directly above, but downstairs you get to listen to the jazz performance of whoever is playing that night. We booked our tickets to the show beforehand and this guarantees you entrance before they open the doors to those that haven't got tickets. This way you can get yourself a table and order before the show starts.

The service was very very good. Refilled water all the way through the evening. Recommended items on the menu and explained anything that needed to be clarified.

Word to the wise though, it could get pricey. We paid $25 each for the show tickets, and then the meal was about $100 for two of us.

Favorite Dish: We had the buffalo wings for starter, then scallops and ribs for mains. They were all cooked beautifully. There's a selection of different ribs depending on whether you like them sticky, dry, lean etc. I'd never had them before, so cannot compare them to anything, but they were OK by me.
