Cluny caffe: "Tourist menu, don't say more..." Parma Restaurant Tip by Henrik_rrb

Parma Restaurants: 35 reviews and 46 photos

The thing one must do when coming to Parma is to try the Parma ham and the Parmagiano-cheese. So what to do when arriving there on a Sunday afternoon, shortly after lunch, and the only places are the most touristic ever...?

Well, go there of course.

Cluny caffe is a nice café/restaurant, which I would guess actually even the locals go to now and then. But the "tourist menu" almost made me sick. :) Hey, come on. At least pretend to not be ripping off the tourists?
14 euro for a bit of ham and cheese.

I took a normal plate instead, with the same kind of meal. Yeah, I know I got ripped off anyway, but still it felt better to at least not try to...

The café/restaurant/bar also organizes birthday- and student parties.

Favorite Dish: Apart from the touristic feeling I got from this place it was a fantastic moment on my trip. I had ate Parma cheese and ham before, but never in Parma. Which apparently was a big mistake. Have never felt anything melt so amazingly good in my mouth, and it was worth every euro I paid...!

Had a very nice beer to that, and than of course a espresso afterwards.
