  the escalator is covered...
by myspices

This is the longest covered outdoor escalator system in the world. (about 800 metres long) . It is actually a stretch of escalator linking Des Voeux Road near the harbour to Conduit Road in the Mid-Levles. It begins at Queen's Road Central. It was a fun ride at first ... but after a couple of it, you will feel like the "forever-ever" kind of ride ... hey, when it is going to end ? Guess the kids will enjoy it more. On the plus side, by going through the ever long stretch of the escalator, you will be able to see the bustling city conveniently. You will pass places like Soho area and Staunton Street and Mosque Street. To complete the whole escalator ride will take you approximately 20mins - phew! long ride, isn't it?.

The escalator runs one-way downhill from 6am to 10am, and then uphill from 10.20am to midnight. As the escalator also serves as a transit link for residents of the Mid-levels, it is best to use it after 9am when the morning rush hour is over.

Address: along stretch Des Voeux Road and Conduit Road
Directions: it begins at Queen's Road, Central and links Des Vouex Road to Conduit Road
