"International Week" Memphis Things to Do Tip by etfromnc
Memphis Things to Do: 306 reviews and 598 photos
Each year during Memphis in May, one week, usually the second week is devoted to honoring and celebrating one foreign country and its ties to Memphis and the USA. When I was there in 2003, they were celebrating the people and culture of Korea. Korea was chosen that year because 2003 was the centennial of the first Korean immigrants coming to the United States.
The 2007 International Week will celebrate Spain. Very little information has been disseminated on the week yet but it will have several Spanish-themed events, including educational activities.
