"Mount Conero" Sirolo Things to Do Tip by deecat
Sirolo Things to Do: 9 reviews and 34 photos
Mount Conero boasts both the "Grotta Urbani" (beach and grotto) and "Due Sorelle" (twin rock formation that juts out into the sea).
The Conero has harsh white cliffs, smooth seashores of the southern coast, and several small villages such as Sirolo.
I have these photographs:
TheUrbani grotta after which the Urbani beach was named.
Natural rock formations , just a small portion of the rich bays, reefs, and coves of this area.
From thePiazza Vittorio Veneto, a delightful deck where you can see the open views of the sea with its sweeping panorama.
We just could not get enough of this beautiful small village and Mount Conero, and the Conero Riviera!
We discovered that the ancient Greeks had often come to the coasts of the Conero because it was considered safe; it was also an advantage for trade with the Picene civilization. The Conero probably owes its name to the Greek word "komaros", an arbutus berry that grows here.
Mount Conero helped to shelter the town of Sirolo in ancient times.
