Bar Moderno: "Friendly cafe on Main Square" San Giovanni in Persiceto Restaurant Tip by sue_stone

When we stopped off in San Giovanni in Persiceto we were looking for somewhere to have lunch. We decided to go to Bar Moderno, mainly as it had lovely shady tables on the main square. There was a few office workers having lunch so we figured it couldn't be all bad.

I selected a nice table with a good view of the square and Alex went inside to check out the menu. Turned out there wasn't a menu as such, but the food the locals were eating looked pretty good.

Favorite Dish: We decided to have some of the pre-made panini that were on display in the glass cabinet - they had ham, cheese and rocket. They tasted fresh and good. After our sandwich we had an espresso which set us up for an afternoon of activities.
