"Nara Stone Lanterns" Top 5 Page for this destination Japan Favorite Tip by SLLiew

Favorite thing: Nara is an ancient capital of Japan before Kyoto and Tokyo.

Leading to the shinto Kasuga shrine are rows of stone lantern as well as hanging bronze lanterns. Although I have seen such lanterns all over Japan, to see so many together at one location is quite amazing.

And at night, when the lanterns are all lit, the atmosphere can be electrifying and mystical at the same time.
