  Devil's Churn, Cape Perpetua, Oregon.

A short and pleasant walk from the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area visitor centre leads you to the dramatic "Devil's Churn". There is no understatement in the naming of this natural feature. Take careful steps away from the path, onto the basalt platform that has been cut out by the powerful Pacific waves and feel your heart beat rate increase! The waves here crash against the black rock shore with a force palpable from a safe distance. The churning, foamy water inside the inlet itself is a sight too!
