I probably wouldn't have gone to Bialogora if I hadn't had a friend living there but it turned out to be great fun and full of surprises. As with most Baltic resorts, there is a fabulous beach here and miles of forest trails, some might say too many as it is quite a hike to get to the sea. It was the village itself which intrigued me most though with it's winding streets and thatched houses. In the evening there was quite a vibrant scene going on with lively pubs and an outdoor movie theatre showing 'A Fish Called Wanda'. The pub we went to had music and dancing courtesy of a singing duo, one on drums and one on guitar. These guys really knew how to get a crowd going and the rafters rang to their 'Piwo' song, which everybody seemed to know the words of. Had a special beer in this pub, can't remember the name but I was told it was an 'amber' beer. You can't get away from amber in Poland.
On the outskirts of Bialogora there's a huge stables/riding school which also has lots of animals on display and extensive grounds and outbuildings for wandering around. You can hire horses here by the hour or take riding lessons. An excellent place to visit with children

Directions: Bialogora is about 8km west of Debki, on the Baltic coast.
