The railway line goes all along the Hel Peninsula cutting across the forest or coming close to the main road with the bay on its other side. You must always cross it on your way to the beach and there are many places to do that, some marked with barriers some not. There is often a lot of noise around, especially if there is a storm on the Baltic or a lot of traffic on the main road. And the railway line is obscured by shrubs and trees in many places. The outcome is obvious: you often can't hear or see the train coming. I nearly walked under one a few years ago, my husband stopped me at the last minute. The train was just metres away.
BTW, not all the trains on that line are as bright-coloured as the one in the picture. The traditional trains are green, the same colour as the greenery around them.
