A trip up Sulphur Mountain in a Gondola is a must for any visitor to Banff. Once you have battled the mammoth amount of Japanese tourists you can catch a 4 person gondola to the top, where you can walk along a board walk to an old weather station. The bloke who used to take weather readings did hundreds of treks up the mountain over the course of his life!!

The views are spectacular, with views of Banff townsite, Cascade mountain, Tunnel Mountain (to name but a few). It's a great chance to take in the views and the fresh air (especially after being in Calgary for a few days). It even started snowing when I got up the top.

Definately a highlight of my visit to Banff, the scenery was amazing. A must do!

Address: Up the end of Banff avenue, signposted.
Directions: Go up Banff avenue, over the bridge, turn right towards Banff Springs hotel, but turn right and follow the signs
