Corregidor Island was the site of fierce battles between the Allied and the Japanese forces during World War II. A highly recommended side trip for Manila visitors, it lies at the mouth of Manila Bay and just an hour ferry ride from Manila's CCP Complex ferry terminal. A whole day of guided tour on the island will bring you to the Pacific War Memorial & Museum, Malinta Tunnel (light and sound show), Mile-Long Barracks ruins, the Spanish Lighthouse, various memorial parks and numerous artillery batteries (with HUGE cannons indeed!).

The ferry ride will reveal before your very eyes the splendor of Manila Bay skyline.

Address: Corregidor, Province of Cavite
Directions: Geographically, Corregidor island is 48km west of Manila.
