This cute little restaruant/cafe is situated in downtown/old Oakland. My husband and I ate here for breakfast. Because we visited Oakland in October, most of the local customers ate indoors as it was a bit cool. Honestly, we preferred eating in the garden patio even though it was a bit nippy. What a pleasant surprise. It was so peaceful as we were the only ones eating outside. There's something to be said about eating breakfast outside surrounded by beautiful greenery, drinking tea and watching colorful hummingbirds zip by you in order to drink the morning nectar from the surrounding flowers.

For breakfast, we both had The Cockle special which consisted of french toast, chicken apple sausage and side orders of eggs. The french toast was absolutely delicious.

My husband who's a coffee drinker took a liking to the coffee
