This vine is said to be the oldest in the world by being over 400 years old which has earned it a place in the Guinness Book of Records. It grows on the front of a house in Lent right by the river and is a symbol for the city?s rich wine culture. The vine still produces between 35kg and 55kg of grapes which are turned into ?ametovka (Black Velvet) wine, bottled and given as gifts to important visiting dignitaries as keys to the city.
