  Bai Di and lotus
by cheezecake_deli

The second causeway of West Lake, the 1.5 km-long Bai Causeway (Bai Di), runs from its northeastern corner to Gu Shan, the only natural island in the lake. It divides the northern portion of the lake to form a small body of water called the Inner North Lake (Beili Hu), full of lotus plants. The Broken Bridge connects Bai Di to the lake shore. Entry to Bai Di is free.

Directions: West Lake - northeastern corner, off Beishan Road.
