"Walking on Jonker Street" Top 5 Page for this destination Malaysia Favorite Tip by SLLiew

Favorite thing: Across the Stadhuys is the famous Jonker Street in Chinatown, Malacca.

It is a fun stroll to visit all the antique shops, souvenir stalls and eating places for the famous Hainanese chicken rice balls or desert "gula melaka cendol" (black sugar and green colored coconut flavored noodle-like delicacy over ice shaving).

There is a parallel coastal road to Jonker Street but found that traffic can be heavy and not must pedestrian walkway - so be careful not to be knocked by incoming traffice.

Better to walk up and back on Jonker Street. Walking back, you may pass by the same shops who may offer you a better last price.
