"Kremlin - Church of John the Evangelist" Rostov Things to Do Tip by blanter

Rostov Things to Do: 26 reviews and 47 photos

Church of John the Evangelist (1683) is built on top of the gate serving as the main entrance to Kremlin (it also contains the bookstore and the ticket office). The church itself is decorated by several rows of 17th century frescoes.

The church is accessible only from the Kremlin wall. The rampart walk accessible to the visitors (for a fee) starts at Resurrection Church (that also contains frescoes), proceeds above Hodigitria Church, and ends at Church of John the Evangelist. Highly recommended.

Address: Kremlin
