  Liberty Bell
by Leipzig

Philadelphia, or as most people say "Philly", is with its 1,5 million citizens the largest city of Pennsylvania. The city is historically significant as it was once the largest city of the USA and a major center of the independence movement during the American Revolutionary War. The "Declaration of Independence" and US Constitution were signed here. In late 18th century Philadelphia even served as capital. Today, the city looks like most planned American cities: a rectangular shaped street system, high buildings in downtown and a huge suburban area, crisscrossed by interstates and highways. Highlights are, of course, the Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. Both museums are free of charge!
