"Mono Lake Visitor Center" Lee Vining Things to Do Tip by PinkFloydActuary

Located on the north side of Lee Vining off of 395, this is a new building with a number of things to do. First and foremost, you can spend a few minutes inside and look at some of the exhibits. The exhibits focus on the history of the lake and some of the animals that can be found there now. After reviewing the exhibits, you can walk out to a large overlook which points out some of the landmarks of the lake. Finally, you can also take a short nature trail which leads down to the water. This is worth the stop to get some of the background on the lake.
