  • Day Tour From Edinburgh - Highland

Gray Line Tours offer a tour of Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands.

Leaving from Edinburgh, the tour passes the castle used in the Monty Python and the Holy Grail film, the William Wallace Monument and up into the Highlands where you stop to see Hamish the Hairy Coo (highland cow). It goes through Rannoch Moor through the pass of Glen Coe before stopping for lunch in Fort Augustus on Loch Ness. After lunch you have the option of boating on the waters of Loch Ness. (costs £8)

Then up through Inverness, the capital of the Highlands where you turn to south again, driving through the Cairngorms and then over the Drumochter Pass, past Perth, the Kingdom of Fife, arriving back in Edinburgh.

We were quite lucky and caught a glimpse of Ben Nevis - only visible for 60 days of the year!

The tour goes for 12 hours and it's on a fairly comfortable coach with plenty of stops. They will pick you up from your hotel/hostel but will NOT drop you off there - you will be dropped off on the main road through Edinburgh close to your acommodation.

Adult £32
Students and Seniors £29
4 - 15 year olds £25

Runs tuesday, wednesday, thursday, saturday and sundays.
Leaves Edinburgh 8am (12 hours)
