"Sibu - Quiet upper river town" Top 5 Page for this destination Malaysia Things to Do Tip by SLLiew

Possible to go by road but flying is the best way to get to Sibu from Kuching. There are very few tall buildings. The river front of the town is worth a visit. There is pottery factory and a cultural hall (small museum) to see the history of Sibu - settled by a group of Christian Fuzhou people from China who started the pepper growing industry.

The dry noodles tasted great. There is also a special biscuit that Sibu is famous for.
