Perth Off The Beaten Path: 234 reviews and 406 photos

This museum is run by members of the Australian Railway Historical Society and purely on a voluntary basis. This museum is dedicated to portraying the rail history of Western Australia and is the only one of its kind in the state. A lot of the collection comes from the WA Government Railways. The history of rail dates back to 1881. Four different rail gauges are on display and there is an extensive exhibit of railway memorabilia and photographs. If arriving by train use the Ashfield Railway Station on the Midland line.

Open : Sundays & Public holidays 1pm - 5pm, Wednesdays during school holidays 1pm - 4pm

Location : 136 Railway Parade, Bassendean
