This museum houses a large number of famous sculptures, in a large hall across the courtyard of the museum building. Just when I thought I was done there at the museum, I discovered the section kind of by chance. If you happened to be there, and do not have the museum map, you could have thought that there was nothing beyond that cafe in the courtyard.

The famous sculptures displayed here are : Colossal statue of Hercules, Toro Farnese. A few are really huge works. There is also the scupture of the goddess of fertility. I can't tell if there were copies in this room. Interestingly some of them are from Rome's sites, like Baths of Caracalla. It's good to visit here if you're planning to visit them in Rome later.

Address: piazza museo, 19
