Wild Rice: "Fancy Chinese Fusion" Top 5 Page for this destination Wild Rice Tip by rmdw

Wild Rice, Vancouver: 2 reviews and 0 photos

I'd long heard people rave about Wild Rice. I finally got a chance to try it and ... was wildly disappointed. My requirements for any restaurant are not overly demanding. One little requirement is that if a place is going to charge big prices then the taste of the food should be exceptional.

We had 3 appetizers. The mussel potstickers were quite good. The spring rolls were alright but somewhat bland. The Won Ton soup was lukewarm, completely lacking in taste, and the won tons themselves were pretty much plain noodles with nothing inside them.

The decor was superb but considering that one usually has to wait an hour or more to get in. That's a pretty long wait for mediocre food.
