Oia, is the one place you should try to get to, for the best view of the magnificent sunset .
This beautiful little gem of a town, is on the Northern part of the Island and set into the cliff, indeed some of the houses our built into the rock. With it's winding narrow streets that throw up many surprises, like it's multitude of steps, beautiful flowers and Windmills, white washed houses and the churches with their blue painted Domes standing out like a picture postcard.
The place gets very crowded towards the evening as people start to gather to watch the sunset, so get there early and pick your spot. There is a viewpoint and I believe the Windmills are a popular place to be to see the setting sun.
Walking down the narrow cobbled street can be hazardous, especially if you have a walking disability. You will find then lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. Beware that eating in these streets can be very expensive, and remember you pay for the beautiful view.
