This very historic place hides a long story, but as i said, im not a history book, there's SO MUCH information and books you can read. I'll once again describe my impressions only.
Walking about 3 minutes walk from my hotel i arived the Hagia Sofia, as i suspected Loads of tourists were alrady there, always better to go early in the morning and miss the mass.
Entrance fee was 15 Turkish Lira. Unfortunately part of the place was renovated so i couldnt see it all.
Like in all the historic places you beet know the story or read while you're there so you can know what you see and what it all meant.
Unlikethe Top Kapi Palace for example there is not need for more then an hour - two depends if you're with a group and guide or not.
Entring the place you have a small shop you can buy drinks or something to eat.
