Christ Church Cathedral dominates Cathedral Square
by worldkiwi

Anglican Christ Church Cathedral stands at the heart of Christchurch in Cathedral Square. Dating from the late 1800s, the cathedral is well known landmark all over New Zealand.
Entrance to the cathedral is free, but if you wish to take photographs there is a NZ$2.50 camera fee. A printed guide to the history and features of the cathedral costs NZ$4. Even though visitors from Europe may feel that the cathedral resembles more of a church in terms of its scale, to us kiwis it is a grand old thing. The cathedral opens to the public from 0830 on weekday mornings.

Address: Cathedral Square.
