"Bobsled Ride On The Olympic Circuit" Lake Placid Things to Do Tip by Andreiuta

Lake Placid Things to Do: 42 reviews and 97 photos

Just a few notes to the bobsled ride recommendation posted by other travelers:

First, if you want to have a real chance of going for a ride, I suggest that you be there as early as you can, preferable before the park opens. I know that this sounds weird, but this is a very popular attraction. We got to the gate about 10 min before the opening hour, and still had to wait about an hour and a half to get to ride.

Second, if you have goggles it would be extremely useful to wear them: because of the wind and speed, I had tears falling on my face, and I found somehow difficult to keep my eyes open. The ride itself is quite short (maybe 2 minutes), it costs about $40, and it starts below the most difficult turn of the track. Still it is worth it every penny and it?s a must do if you like the adrenaline rush!
