"Go Fishing" Charleston Things to Do Tip by fishandchips

Charleston Things to Do: 3 reviews and 0 photos

There are some good sea walls to fish from in this area. A short distance South of the bridge across the Nile River is a sign posted turn off to the cemetery. Used by the first settlers, it is now a historic reserve. A narrow track in the north-west corner leads to the coastline. A tricky climb down gets you on the pebble beach, but only when the tide is out. The track is about 500 metres long and ends at some low sea cliffs/rock walls where good fishing can be had.

A word of warning though - at high tide the sea can break over the rocks - BE VERY CAREFUL THAT YOU DON'T GET WASHED OFF THE ROCKS.
