"Jameos del Agua" Isla de Lanzarote Things to Do Tip by rcsparty

Isla de Lanzarote Things to Do: 336 reviews and 599 photos

As lava flowed from the volcano to the sea, volcanic bubbles formed in the lava, resulting in caves and passages within the volcanic rock. Jameos del Agua was shaped by Cesar Marique and the hole in the roof allowing the sun to shine through, provides a dazzingly array of colors in the water. You will also notice the blind albino crabs in the pool of sea water. The caves are sometimes used as a nightclub or for concerts.
