you dine in elegance at the Mount Nelson in the lovely Cape Colony restaurant as live music is played - not too loudly, you are still well able to hear your companion
the food is absolutely first class, the a la carte menu is pricey but the `Winter Warmers` one was an absolute bargain at R185 for three courses and an aperetif, we had the lamb as our main course and it was the best I have ever tasted

the service was excellent, unhurried friendly and efficient

Favorite Dish: the second night I had steamed cape rock lobster and sautéed scampi with lime fennel emulsion and caviar dumplings which cost R295, it was very very good served with a side dish of spinach
as a starter I had caesar salad which was a very large helping and I couldnt finish it
