Aristocrat like Max's is one of the oldest restaurants in Manila (1936). Being strategically located in Roxas Blvd, people then and now dine there after promenading along Baywalk, watching a ballet in Cultural Center or hearing mass in Malate Church. A stone throw away is the US Embassy.

It has a family atmosphere and has been a place where couples had their 1st formal date (go ask my aunt)!

Business is brisk especially during holidays as groups of people reserve the place.

Favorite Dish: Chicken Barbecue with their java rice (like your risotto with bits of pork) - P150

Comparison: about average
Directions: 1st branch - Along Roxas Blvd
Not to be missed is the Malate Church and a huge fountain in Rajah Sulaiman park right beside the restaurant.

Other branches:
Along Jupiter Street
The Block - SM North EDSA

Price: less than US$10
Rating: 3
Theme: Local
