The dominant feature of the Placa Carme is the carmelite church, Esglesia Del Carme, which gives it its name. The church itself is fairly huge, but nothing compared to the cloisters that surround it. These days those cloisters have been converted into the town's market halls, though unfortunately for us we never saw them open, despite visiting the town three times! A combination of siesta and fiesta dashed any hopes of shopping in the market halls.
As you can see from the pictures, when the square is decked out for the festa it's quite a sight.
