"Starbucks!" Belfast Favorite Tip by bcatton

Favorite thing: Over the past few years there seems to be a proliferation of coffee shops in Belfast.
I'm not sure why this is; maybe because of the desire for all things U.S. or because they've caught on to the fact that there is another drink apart from tea. Or maybe it's because people here look upon hanging out in one as 'cool'.
Anyway Belfast has never had a Starbucks (some might look upon this as a good thing) until about a year ago. Then they decided to not just open one, but three!! (The photo taken is the one at 2 Castle Lane, two minutes from Belfast City Hall (plenty of seating, with two floors). The other one i frequent being above the main entrance in Castle Court Shopping Centre.
Starbucks originated in Seattle, WA, a place i've visited 12-13 times. Trivia; the main logo for Starbucks is that of a Mermaid with long hair hiding a certain 'area'. In the original store (situated directly across from Pike Place Market, Seattle) the Mermaid's hair does NOT cover this area. :-) It's still the same today.
