"Lake Titicaca with the..." Peru Tourist Trap Tip by B_Caro

Lake Titicaca with the floating islands and Isla Taquile (the only ones I've visited) is very beautiful to see. But to me, it is one big tourist trap.

It starts already at the harbor of Puno when you leave for the islands. Everyone tries to sell you pencils for the children on the islands.

The floating islands are really impressive to see but there are so many tourists around that it lost some of its charm (according to me).

According to the travel guides, Isla Taquille is quite authentic. Ok, it is pretty and nice. But also overhere, people (adults & children) ask you money for taking a picture the minute they see you.
Ok, we tourists ourselves are to blame for that kind of behaviour. But compared with Bolivia, it was quite a difference.
