Buzzard's BBQ is located in the Travelodge, which is a definite negative, however, the food is cheap and pretty tasty. They have a small bar with some of the cheapest beer I've found in town...just $2.50 for a pint of Anchor Steam. I had a brisket sandwich with the mild BBQ sauce that had a little kick...I bet the hot BBQ sauce is something else. It was very well priced at about $6 for the sandwich with a side dish. I chose the chili beans which were a strange cross between baked beans and chili, but tasty.

Dinners are $10-$12 for a variety of BBQ items like sausage, brisket, ribs, pork, and even BBQ pork chops and turkey leg!

All-in-all, not a bad place, but not a place I would post a tip about on VT (oops).

Better barbecue in the Monterey area includes Willie's Smokehouse on Cannery Row for a good sit-down meal, Curly's BBQ in Seaside and Little Chicken House in Pacific Grove for quick take out BBQ, and way off the beaten path is the Central Texas Barbecue in Castroville.
